Instrumentation Controls Technician
Job Description:

We’re currently hiring Instrumentation Controls Technicians to support our commercial accounts across beautiful Southwest Florida. What You’ll Do:
- Startup & Commissioning: Execute start-up, commissioning, and re-commissioning of commercial HVAC and electrical systems.
- Project Documentation: Complete essential paperwork including work orders, service logs, commissioning reports, and compliance documentation.
- Tech Interpretation: Review and interpret technical documents like wiring diagrams, schematics, and as-builts.
- Energy Optimization: Analyze building automation systems and data to uncover opportunities for energy efficiency.
- Client Communication: Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and customers to ensure project timelines and service expectations are met.
- Superior Service: Support customers via phone, email, and site visits—resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Who You Are:
- A skilled technician with 2+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC, electrical systems, Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and working with service documentation.
- Able to read and understand technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Bonus if you’re familiar with IP networking and third-party integrations (BACnet IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus).
- A natural problem-solver who works well independently and can manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Professional and clear communicator, dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with 2+ years’ experience in HVAC, electrical and/or service technician, OR Associates Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, OR other post-high school training (2 years duration) with 1+ years of experience in HVAC, electrical and/or controls service coordinator, service technician.
- 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- 1+ year experience in customer service.
