AC Service Technician
Job Description:
At Boyd Brothers Service Inc., we are committed to HVAC excellence and are seeking a skilled AC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing air conditioning systems for our diverse client base. What You’ll Do:
- System Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnostic Expertise: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within HVAC systems, including electrical faults.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of HVAC systems for efficiency and proper functioning.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize schematics and design specifications to accurately troubleshoot and repair systems.

Who You Are:

- A holder of a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and preferably an EPA certification.

- Full-time position with an hourly rate of $18.00 – $25.00.

- Starting up, commissioning, and recommissioning HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration control systems.
- Analyzing energy usage data and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Reviewing technical documentation like wiring diagrams and as-builts.
- Providing exceptional service through calls, emails, and field support.
- Coordinating with field technicians and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Documenting service logs, work orders, and commissioning reports accurately and on time.
- Troubleshooting system issues and providing creative, effective solutions.
- Maintaining professionalism and positive rapport with customers—especially under pressure or tight deadlines.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED plus 2+ years of experience in HVAC, electrical, or technician roles – OR – Associate’s degree or post-secondary technical training with 1+ year of relevant experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service or support roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with building automation systems and controls integration (BACnet, Modbus, etc.).
- Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration controls applications.
- Solid understanding of IP networking and computer systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience handling conflict resolution and leading or mentoring team members.
