- Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization of elevators, escalators, and related equipment in residential settings.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in elevators and implement effective solutions.
- Test and adjust elevator systems to optimize performance and ensure smooth operation
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job

Automation and Controls Technician
Job Description:
As an Automation and Controls Technician, you will play a crucial role in our business by commissioning building automation systems tailored to each customer’s needs. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a customer-focused mindset. You will tackle increasingly complex problems, provide effective solutions, and assist in the training and development of less experienced technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate, install, troubleshoot optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
- Serve as local contact for technical issues and leader in the field.
- Offer effective solutions for increasingly complex system issues.
- Provide turnkey project delivery on small to medium projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software.
- Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
- Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
- Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.
Automation and Controls Technician Qualifications/Skills:
- College or technical training.
- 2+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or technical field.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by the company’s insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability for scheduled travel 35% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
- Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing increasingly complex building automation controls.
- Basic knowledge of navigating and integrating into a variety of building automation systems.
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
- Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
